Hosted by the Taiwan Electronic Equipment Industry Association (TEEIA) and co-organized by Ace Pillar Co., Ltd., the seminar and factory tour—themed "AI Robot & Drone Alliance—Precision Transmission, Driving the Future: Deciphering the Power Code of AI Robots"—was successfully held on July 8 at the Taichung Tanzi headquarters of LI MING Machinery. This high-profile event brought together industry leaders and government officials to explore the integration of precision machinery and AI, aiming to accelerate the strategic upgrade of Taiwan’s smart automation supply chain.
LI MING Machinery: Witnessing the Backbone of Taiwan's Precision Transmission
The delegation of TEEIA members, led by Chris Li, Chairman of the TEEIA AI Robot & Drone Alliance and General Manager of Ace Pillar, received a warm personal welcome from Lin Chiu-hsiung, Founder and Chairman of LI MING Machinery, and General Manager Lin Yu-hsing. The visitors witnessed LI MING’s fully integrated, one-stop production line—spanning design R&D, machining, production, assembly, testing, to final shipment.
Precision speed reducers and gear motors serve as indispensable "joints" for robots and advanced machinery. LI MING’s technological breakthroughs in zero-backlash and high-positioning accuracy perfectly align with the global trends of automation and high-precision applications. This profound in-house manufacturing capability, backed by strong government policies, forms the solid foundation for Taiwan's precision transmission sector to compete on the world stage.
Face-to-Face Exchange Between Industry and Government: Accurately Addressing Local Needs
A crucial in-depth exchange session was arranged at the end of the event. Shen Jong-chin, Senior Advisor to the President—who previously mobilized Taiwan’s "Machine Tool National Team" and deeply understands the pain points of traditional industries and technological transformation—provided precise advice and strategic directions regarding government policies. He encouraged enterprises to fully utilize government upgrade subsidies and R&D incentives. This first-hand exchange of information not only allows the government to accurately grasp real-world industry pain points and technical demands, but also enables enterprises to align more effectively with government counseling and subsidy resources.
Chris Li, General Manager of Ace Pillar, stated that as a core player in the automation distribution channel, Ace Pillar will continue to leverage its software and hardware integration capabilities across the semiconductor, green energy, and smart automation sectors. Through close collaboration with top-tier partners like LI MING Machinery, Ace Pillar aims to perfectly combine high-precision mechanical joints with intelligent AI, creating higher value for Taiwan's smart manufacturing ecosystem.
